I grew up in Florida – only a 15 minute drive from the coast. So, I’ve been to more sunrises than I can count. Most people ask why I still go to the sunrise, pull myself out of bed on days with 40 degree weather and wake up between 5 and 6 am on the weekends.
The only answer I have is that there’s something captivating about watching the world wake up. The dawn breaking over the horizon – catching the waves on fire with the pink and gold rays of light. Just being up while the streets are quiet and the air is still and fresh.
Every time I go, I still have to convince myself to get out of bed. The only way I can ever skip my extra sleep is by reminding myself that there’s never one day where I regret getting up and out early.
It’s 100% ALWAYS worth it. Because soaking up fresh beauty is so good for our souls. So, we can keep getting up and seeking out breathtaking, ordinary miracles just like the sunrise.
